Sensata is a startup focused on developing digital products aimed at understanding and measuring human behavior. Our biggest innovation lies on the intersection between digital technologies, a strong user experience, and the latest from the social sciences. We have developed a platform to collect self-reported data in a way that is closer to a gaming experience than a traditional survey. Our platform is enabling organizations, governments and private companies to understand the “why” behind their users' behavior.
At Sensata, we believe that research can be fun and agile, robust from a methodological point of view but also insightful and relevant for both the end user and the customer. To achieve that, we are building an interdisciplinary team that combines data science, social sciences, engineering, and a lot of creativity.
We are looking for a Senior Researcher to lead projects in the following areas: Human rights issues, philanthropy, financial inclusion and behavioral change. Current target audiences include Latin America, USA, and Europe.
Within the context of the Sensata team, the day-to-day tasks of the Senior Researcher include leading research design and data analysis processes, producing reports, and providing technical advice of the projects. The role also includes daily interactions with the clients.
Bachelor’s degree with a background in social sciences: philosophy, sociology, anthropology, social psychology or economics
At least 5 years experience as a researcher
Master's degree (preferable)
Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish (work experience in both languages preferable, or C2 level)
Experience with data-based research (R/SPSS/Python/Tableau a plus)
Excellent writing skills in both Spanish and English
Curiosity and a genuine desire for learning all things technology
We will give preference to candidates located in Bogota, Colombia, or candidates located between UTC-8 and UTC-4.
If you want to be part of this amazing, interdisciplinary team, please send your CV and a cover letter to email@example.com
